I’m going to keep this simple rather than the usual wall-of-text policy you see on most websites.
Stats & Tracking
I like stats, so I track visits to my blog mainly to see who’s linking to me and how many people are browsing.
If you have Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) enabled in your browser, my site will respect that and not track you. GPC is the modern standard that’s replaced DNT in most browsers, and both are honoured here.
You can also opt out by:

umami.pickysysadmin.cato your ad blocker of choice - Visiting via Tor, which will automatically block my stats tracker and anonymize any data my server collects
My Tor address can be found in the left-hand menu near the top of the page.
Your Data & GDPR
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data I hold about you. To make a request, email me at eric((AT))pickysysadmin.ca and I’ll take care of it.
What I Don’t Do
- I do not sell or share any information I collect.
- I do not run any ads on this website.
Infrastructure
I use Cloudflare to help keep the site fast and available. All data is stored on my own server in Canada, and only I have physical and remote access to it.
Comments (Akismet)
If you leave a comment, it’s processed through Akismet’s anti-spam service. Akismet collects the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL, along with information you provide directly such as your name, email address, and the comment itself.
